1940's, 50's & 60's collection

In the 1950's, 80% of men smoked. Nearly 40% of women smoked. People smoked at home. Ronson ran a campaign to encourage lighters as wedding presents. Smoking was in the office, the factory and everywhere. There were even horse races where the riders had to smoke. Cigarettes also became linked to coffee.
