Welcome

I have been a collector for over twenty five years, having taken A Diploma in the Decorative Arts from Glasgow University.

While I am literally interested in everything I have specialised in "Smoking Memorabilia" because it is a neglected area of collecting which I find fascinating. It is universal and jewellers and craftsmen from all over the world have made really interesting objects. You can collect tobacco jars, cigarette holders, snuff boxes, advertising, cigar cases, etc. The list is endless.

One of the advantages of this hobby is that you can spend as much or as little as you like since many items are inexpensive.

I can give talks on the History of Smoking and antiques and collecting.

I have been lucky enough to appear on TV programmes and magazines with the collection.

Recently, postcards and advertising from my collection have been on display at "The Smoking Room" exhibition held at the Scottish Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh.

I hope that you like the site.
